LAFRANCE, Florence A., 70, PRESQUE ISLE, at Bangor, October 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 31. There will be no calling hours per her wishes Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Florence A. LaFrance, 70, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Eastside Center for Health and Rehab in Bangor due to complications from kidney disease. She was born in Presque Isle on Sept. 8, 1945, the daughter of Edmund and Estelle (Boutot) LaFrance.
She attended schools in Presque Isle and graduated high school in Plainville, CT. She was employed in the banking business in Hartford, CT, until her return to the County. She was employed at Symthe’s IGA until she retired.
She is survived by her brothers, Elmer LaFrance of Sturbridge, MA, and Carl and his wife, Joy LaFrance of Oldsmar, FL; a sister, Beatrice Jones and her husband, Ben of Moreno Valley, CA; a brother-in-law, Gilford Berube of Presque Isle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Berube and Florina Cote both of Presque Isle; and a brother, Wilmer (Kit) LaFrance and his wife, Joan of Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. There will be no calling hours per Florence’s wishes. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Florence to the County Dialysis Center, 121 North Street, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
