during fall sports awards ceremony

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine Athletes from Presque Isle High School were honored Nov. 2, 2015 during the school’s fall sports awards night, with soccer players, cheerleaders, cross country runners and golfers all recognized for their participation.

The following is a recap of the awards presented.
Junior varsity girls’ soccer — Coach Katie Patenaude presented certificates to: freshmen Kacie Bates, Sarah Beaulieu, Grace Bemis, Emma Bouchard, Sydney Durepo, Casey Estabrook, Kamryn Gilmour, Emma Kohlbacher, Allison Madore, Lydia Miller, Savannah Rodriguez and manager Mayce Kinney; and sophomores Natalie Bates, Jaida Beaulieu, Breanna Byrd and Chloe Hammond.
Junior varsity boys’ soccer — Coach Brian Cronin presented certificates to: freshmen Will Bridges, Drew Cameron, Jason Dumais, Riley Kinney, Torey Levesque, Garrett Morneault, Zach Morse, Thomas Patenaude, Chase Quirion, Carter Rice, Iffy Sargent, Jacob Sjoberg and Mason Young; sophomores Jack Beaulieu, Jack Bonville, Jordan Bonville, R.J. Gross, Cameron Lahey and Gage Young; and junior Gavin Kelley.
Fall cheering — Coach Jenna Bradstreet presented a first-year letter to: junior Victoria Williamson; second-year letters to sophomores Jessica Boucher and Kiara Lyford; third-year letters to juniors Gabby Donovan, Gwenyth Ortman and Ashley Turner; and a fourth-year letter to seniors Madison Bagley, Michelle Cawley, Lindsey Lagerstrom, Alexandra Michaud and Kellsey Michaud.
Varsity golf — Coach Daren Hunter presented certificates to freshmen Libby Boone and Rebecca Collins; sophomore Isaac Madore; and juniors Craig Schiff and Ian Tuttle; a first-year letter to freshman Seth Roy; second-year letters to junior John Saucier and senior Gannon Therrien; and a third-year letter to junior Hunter Flynn.
Varsity boys’ cross country — Coach Evan Graves presented certificates to freshmen Lucas Garcia, Thomas Popov, Chase Pyres and Jordan Scott; first-year letters to freshmen Trace Cyr and Brandon McKnight; second-year letters to sophomores Dustin Alward and Max Bartley; and a third-year letter to senior Jason Bartley.
Varsity girls’ cross country — Coach Mike Waugh presented certificates to freshmen Alexandra Walsh and sophomore Ande Kornachuk; first-year letters to freshman Madison Jandreau; sophomores Ellie Goheen, Isabelle Jackson and Olivia Mosher; and senior Alyssa Sweeney; and fourth-year letters to seniors Emily Colligan, Erica Corey and Mandy Graham.
Varsity girls’ soccer — Coach Ralph Michaud and assistant coach Dillon Kingsbury presented certificates to freshmen Grace Bemis and Savannah Rodriguez and sophomores Natalie Bates and manager Taylor Billings; first-year letters to freshmen Elizabeth Collins, Molly Kingsbury, Madison Michaud, Eleanor St. Peter and Amelia Theriault; sophomores Chrissy Skidgel and Mackenzie Turner; and junior Grace Player; second-year letters to sophomore Emily Wheaton and juniors Tori Koch and manager Jillian Jandreau; third-year letters to seniors Jillian Flynn, Kerrigan LeBlanc and Regan Nelson; and fourth-year letters to seniors Olivia Hudson and Taylor Williams.
Varsity boys’ soccer — Coach Joe Greaves and assistant coach Tim McCue presented certificates to freshman manager Cole Paterson and juniors Bradley Kinney and Marcus Ouellette; first-year letters to freshmen Kyler Caron, Jason Dumais, Jonah Hudson and Jaren Winger; sophomore Adam Paterson; and juniors Patrick Cash, Jake Kinney and Denny Young; and seniors Mike Mahon and manager Maddie Cummings; second-year letters to sophomores Griffin Guerrette, Randon Mortland and Ryle Mortland; junior manager Elise Guerrette; and seniors Brycen Libby and Zachary Rice; and third-year letters to juniors Nick Bartlett, Khasen Lowe and Josiah Morse and seniors Sam Gray, Cooper Madore and Kyle Rider.
Special awards were also presented during the evening. Receiving sweatshirts, awarded to those accumulating a combination of six varsity letters during a career, were Bartlett (soccer, skiing and baseball), Gray (soccer, skiing and baseball), LeBlanc (soccer, skiing and track and field) and Rider (soccer, basketball and baseball).
Jackets are awarded to those lettering in a sport all four years. Recipients were Olivia Hudson (soccer), Williams (soccer), Colligan (cross country), Corey (cross country), Graham (cross country), Bagley (fall cheering), Cawley (fall cheering), Lagerstrom (fall cheering), Alexandra Michaud (fall cheering) and Kellsey Michaud (fall cheering).
