The busy holiday season is upon us once again! The Ark has a busy fundraising schedule for the next two months and we are hoping that everyone will come out and support us.
We have Miracle on Mechanic Street planned for Saturday, Dec. 5, outside Hollywood Pet Salon. We will be selling Christmas trees, and there will be photos with Santa, plenty of food and various other activities.
We have the Monster Elf Drive going on now through the holidays. It is being done by our very own local celebrity, Emma, the sidekick. Emma is an amazing dog representing Therapy “Monsters.” Emma is collecting pet-related items to help the animals in need at The Ark, Dun Roamin Stray-Rescue and A Life Line. Donations can be dropped off at The Hollywood Pet Salon or Town & Country.
There is a bake sale every Saturday in December through Christmas. We have some wonderful cooks, so let us do your holiday cooking while you sit back and enjoy the holidays. Our wonderful friends at Pleasant View Tree Farm have invited us to do additional bake sales at their beautiful farm on Dec. 5 and 12, as well.
Our amazing friends at Town & Country are once again promoting the Wrap It Up program at their beautiful store to benefit the animals in need at The Ark. We encourage everyone to come out and support these wonderful businesses as they kick off the holiday season.
We will be waiving the adoption fee on all adult cats from now through the holidays. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have all of the animals in our care in new homes for the holidays? Check out our wish list on Amazon.
Work continues on the new building. The wiring is just about complete and the last of the concrete outside is ready to be poured. We currently have $20,000 to complete the sanctuary. it is going to be difficult, but we will get there. We have a positive attitude and lots of determination. There is no stopping us!
Thank you for your continued support, and as always, thank you for reading our column.
