Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Nov. 17 at the Aroostook Health Center. Rotarian Bernie McAdam gave his classification. Born in Canada, his family moved to Easton where he grew up. He served in the Army in Vietnam before returning to Maine. He worked in area hospitals as controller before retiring in 2011. Incidentally, if you are ever in need of a comedic speaker, you should give him a call!
Rotary raffle
The Mars Hill Rotary Club is selling raffle tickets. With over 16 items on the ticket, you have great chances to win a prize. Items include 100 gallons of oil, an IGA gift certificate, CAHS basketball season tickets, gas cards, oil changes and much more. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available from any Rotarian, at the Mars Hill town office or at the Superintendent’s office.
The prizes will be drawn during half time of the Boys CAHS vs. Fort Fairfield basketball game on Dec. 30. Benefits from this raffle will go toward the purchase of two iPads for the Aroostook Health Center resident’s use and the Mars Hill Rotary Scholarship Fund.
