The Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club in Oakfield for their last meeting in November by celebrating an early Thanksgiving  dinner.

A total of 34 members and guests were in attendance. The business meeting was called to order by Mr. Locke with the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute. It was decided that we will have a Yankee swap gift exchange at the Dec. 2 meeting, and donations for the animal shelter will also be collected.
The meeting was then turned over to Steve Farnham from the Agency on Aging in Presque Isle to bring information about getting help with nursing home care expenses.  He said the best advice he could give anyone was to plan ahead and he shared details of how to do this. For information call the Agency on Aging in Presque Isle.
Attending were: Sharon Anderson, Margaret Cameron, George Barrow, Eleanor Peck, Bonnie Pratt, Geneva Bell, Juanita Wiggins, Ramona White, Iona Nadeau, Ursula Levesque, Sandra Holmes, Donna Furrow, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Jeanne Clements, Bernice Campbell, Mildred Gagnon, Bob and Delores Locke, Marie Gillotti, Wannetta Townsend, Arlene Friel, Naci Fowler, Verna Boone, David Burpee, Betty and Alton Burpee, Thelma Flowers, Bill Dill, Kathleen Boutilier, Marilyn Burton, Don and Charlotte Marley and guest speaker Steve Farnham.
