WOODLAND — Roland Thomas Fortin, 68, succommed to his illness on November 21, 2015, after a long and courageous battle.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed all outdoor activities. He was a supervisor for Superior Steel Ball Co. in New Britain, CT, then did odd jobs until he was the foreman for the Aroostook Valley Railroad, and then he owned Roland Fortin’s Used Cars business until July 2015.
He is survived by this mother, Alexina Fortin of Caribou; his wife, Velva Fortin, of Dade City, FL.; his daughter, Sandra Bittle of Caribou; his son, Wayne Fortin, of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, New Brunswick, and his wife, Sandy; step-son Joe Sears, of Woodland; his sister Linda Fortin, of Caribou; his brother, Robert Fortin of East Hartford, CT.; his wife Ann, his grandchildren Erika and Chantal Bittle of Caribou, Ashley and Corey Fortin of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, one great-grandaughter, Kaydence Harrison of Caribou.
He was predeceased by his father, Claude Fortin, his brother, Ronald (Pickles) Fortin, and his ex-wife, Rose-Anne Fortin.
He has left behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
