CARIBOU—Kenneth M. Ewing, 87, passed away December 1, 2015 at Caribou with his family by his side.

He was born in Fort Fairfield April 29, 1928 the son of the late Edward and Willa (Barnes) Ewing. Mr. Ewing served with the U.S. Army during WW II and he married Rita Clark November 6, 1948. Ken was a self-employed farmer and potato grower on the Hardison Road in Caribou for a number of years. He was also employed by MPG as a truck driver for over 56 years. He loved the outdoors, his farm and truly enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nearly 67 years, Rita of Caribou, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Neil and Michelle Ewing of Presque Isle, and Clark and Theresa Ewing of Caribou; one daughter, Kathleen Belmain of Caribou; 13 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ewing was predeceased by two sons, Rodney; and Colby; two brothers, Donald and Rodney, two sons-in-law, Glenwood Belmain and Jonathan Bragg; and a grea-grandson Michael Brooker.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Saturday, December 5, 2015 from noon until time of services which were held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
