The All-Aroostook Music Festival came to Presque Isle over the weekend for a choral concert, celebrating the talents of 165 students from 14 schools in the region.
The Middle School Chorus started the concert with “Dies Irae”, followed by “Homeward Bound”, “River in Judea”, “Amavolovolo” and “Thistle and Rose”.
Directed by Adam Scarpone and accompanied by Mari-Jo Hedman, the chorus included 90 middle school students from 14 schools.
From Presque Isle Middle School singing soprano were Samantha Boulier, Rachel Ellis and Allison Fullen; singing alto were Sawyer O’Donnell, Stephanie Donovan, Kylie Scott, Meg Casavant and Danielle Mathias; and singing baritone were Jason Wilcox, Jude Mosher, Austin Broad, Ben Flannery, Izia Lessard, Jaron Leach, Connor Junkins and Holden Stoutamyer.
From Ashland Middle School were Haileigh Holmes and Vanessa Rafford singing soprano Danielle Dorr singing alto and Weston Robinson in baritone. From Easton were Austin Carver and Emma Lamoreau singing soprano and Kaden Arnett and Tory Lullen in alto. From Fort Fairfield were Cammi King-DeMerchant, Oliva Langer and Brenna LeVasseur in soprano and Jessica Halsey, Bailee Mallet, Mitchell Reed and Delaney St. Pierre in alto.
From Central Aroostook were Madison Crouse, Brooke Howlett and Alyssa Tilley singing in soprano, Sydney Garrison and Katie Levesque in alto and Bryan Anthony, Zach O’Leary and Cameron Sirois in baritone.
From Cornerstone Christian Academy in Presque Isle were Maggee Currie, Abby Shannon and Mia Thibodeau singing in soprano and Noah Rooney in alto.
Seventy-five high-schoolers came to the All-Aroostook event. Their concert, conducted by Suzanne Proulx and accompanied by Sherri Calhoun, started with “Festival Te Deum”, followed by “Away from the Roll of the Sea”, “Go Down Moses”, “Bring Him Home” and “Joyful, Joyful”.
From Presque Isle High School were Stephanie Winslow and Abby Shaw singing soprano; in alto were Michaela Dube, Annelise Wardwell, Kelsy Cyr, Nicole Theriault, Mayce Kinney, Miranda Bragan, Bailey Roderick, Sadie Kinney, Justina Davis and Acacia Johnston; in tenor was Everett Zuras and in bass were Aaron Swanson, Isaiah Dupuis, Josh Baldwin, Tyler Levesque, Thomas Peterson, Jordan Scott, Erik Smith and Cody Tucker.
From Ashland were Cassandra Bolstridge and Alexis Craig in soprano, Gabbie Wortman in alto and Airin Harmon in tenor. From Easton were Cecelia Ferris and Katelyn White in soprano, Paige Flewelling in alto and Brandon Hosford in bass.
From Fort Fairfield were Grace Reynolds and Cassidy Coiley in soprano and Laura Woodman, Sarah Watt, Hunter St. Pierre and Emily Everitt in alto.
From Central Aroostook were Noelle Bailey and Taia Tilley in soprano, Chloe Wheeler and Jessica Cropley in alto and Conner Mahan in bass. From Cornerstone Christian Academy were Emily Robinson in soprano, Danielle Tardie and Haley Rowe in alto and Jordan Bonville in tenor.
The All-Aroostook Instrumental Festival will be held at the Ashland District School Jan. 16.
