Do you have young children and need some extra time to prepare for this busy holiday season? Mapleton Girl Scout Troop 1133 will hold their second annual babysitting service this Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Mapleton Methodist Church on Main Street across from the post office.
Children ages 3 (potty-trained, please!) through 9 are welcome to come for the morning and enjoy games, activities, snacks and crafts. Older children are encouraged to bring outdoor clothes and boots in case they go outside to play.
Donations will be accepted, with all proceeds helping the girls fund their troop trip to Florida next fall.
Ridge Runners
The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club will hold a potluck supper and Yankee swap for members on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse.
Also on the agenda will be discussing plans for the upcoming auction in January.
