CARIBOU – June M. Holmes, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2015, with her family by her side. June was born in Caribou on February 27, 1932, the daughter of Lyman and Julia (Skidgell) Rossignol.

June was a medical secretary for many years, in Caribou and in Florida. She was a very active member of the Caribou Assemblies of God Church in Caribou and loved playing piano there for years. She was a very generous person, and loved her family more than anything, and was the glue that held them all together. June was a cancer survivor who was strong both emotionally and physically. She was one of the most loving and caring people you could ever know.
June is survived by her children, Sharon Skidgell of Perham, Colleen Lajoie of Woodland, and Garfield H. Holmes Jr. and his wife, Lynne of Bristol; her sister, Adessa Holmes and her husband, Delmar of Stockholm; her grandchildren, Timothy, Thomas and Paul Malm, Ricky Groom, Michael Lajoie and Ryan and Joshua Holmes. She will also be missed by many great-grandchildren, including a special great-granddaughter, Rebecca Malm.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Oathan Rossignol.
