NMCC features Cyr

Sales benefit scholarships

PRESQUE ISLE — Photographs from well-known local photographer Paul A. Cyr will be on display in Northern Maine Community College’s Edmunds Library during the month of January.

The Cyr display is an opportunity to draw members of the public to campus during the wintertime, as well as to raise funds to support scholarships for NMCC students. The display will feature Cyr’s scenic photographs from throughout Aroostook County.
Cyr is known for his knack of being at the right place at the right time and his creative way of capturing the moment.
“I first took an interest in photography as a young teen, and kept it up until the 1990s, when I just got too busy,” he said. “When digital technology became big, I took another look.”
Cyr enjoys sharing his talents and sees this as a chance to support scholarships for students. All sales from the displayed photographs will support the NMCC scholarship fund through the NMCC Foundation.
All are welcome to visit the exhibit. The library is typically open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 12-4 p.m. To learn more, contact the library at 768-2718.
