Rotary members discuss starting youth club

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Dec. 29, 2015 at the Aroostook Health Center. Members discussed upcoming events and Rena Kearney gave a brief overview of her recent rehab adventures.
The Mars Hill Rotary Club is looking into starting an Interact Club for youth ages 14-18. Interact is a combination of “international” and “action”. There are currently clubs in over 120 countries and they are dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Upcoming events for the week of Jan. 6-12, 2016 include: Wednesday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Wii Bowling at 9 a.m.. Tea Social at 9:30 a.m. and Crossword Puzzles 1:30 p.m. Thursday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., Horse Racing at 1:30 p.m. and Faith Baptist at 6:30 p.m.
Friday will feature Pokeno at 9:30 a.m. and Music by The Countrymen at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will feature Karaoke with the Deschesnes at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will feature Sunday Service with Jonathan at 1:30 p.m.
Monday will feature Nail Beautiful at 10 a.m., Dayroom Cinema with Popcorn at 1:30 p.m., and Gospel Group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Card Games at 1:30 p.m.
All of these activities are subject to change. If you would like to volunteer to help with any of these activities, call Connie or Vicki at 768-4915.
Bingo held Saturdays
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill is hosting Bingo on Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post. There are cash prizes and refreshments are available. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening with friends!
