All-Aroostook Instrumental plays in Ashland

Aroostook County’s young musicians converge in Ashland Saturday, Jan. 16 for a varied, instrumental performance. The two-day All-Aroostook Band Music Festival actually begins Friday with students arriving for a long day of rehearsals.
With clarinets, flutes, saxophones, trumpets, tubas, horns, bass and drums, the All-Aroostook Middle School Band starts off the concert with “March of the Irish Guard”, followed by “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Ancient Voices” and “By Dawn’s Early Light”.
The High School Band will perform “Glory and Triumph,” followed by “Simple Gifts Four Shaker Songs”, “Epinicion” and “The New Colonial March”.
Area middle school students who were named to the All-Aroostook band include:
From Presque Isle Middle School are Holden Zuras (flute), Catherine Butterfield (flute), Preston Gibson (oboe), Victoria Savoy (clarinet), Noelle Balkman (clarinet), Ricky Goupille (trumpet), Joe Michaud (trumpet), Holden Stoutamyer (tuba), and Katelyn Armero (percussion).
From Union 122 are Halle Greenier (flute), Mackenzie Tracy (flute), Madison Zeigler (clarinet), Cassidy Page (clarinet), Amanda Poulin (clarinet), Hannah Landeen (bass clarinet) and Ethan Albair (percussion).
From Ashland Middle School are Hailee Cunningham (flute), Alli Kenney (clarinet), Jamie Poulin (clarinet), Morgan Graham (flute) Willow Hall (alto saxophone), Ava Cameron (tenor sax), Brooke Harris (baritone sax), Creed Chasse (trumpet), Clark Condon (trumpet), Kolson Condon (baritone) and Graham Berry (percussion).
From Washburn Middle School is Patrick Tardie II (flute).
From Fort Fairfield Middle School are Kathryn Novak (clarinet), Olivia Langner (clarinet), Cammi King-DeMerchant (clarinet), Justin Pelletier (alto sax), Colby Langner (bass clarinet) and Jessica Halsey (percussion).
From Easton Middle School are Camden Michaud (trumpet), Ashley Cowley (French horn), and Mitchell Flewelling (trombone).

From Presque Isle High School are Stephanie Winslow (flute), Sarah Morneault (flute), Anna Robinson (flute), Alexandria Peterson (clarinet), Eric Benson (alto sax), Dora Wang (alto sax), Gage Young (alto sax), Sydney Thompson (trumpet), Josh Baldwin (trumpet), Troy Nadeau (percussion), Torey Levesque (percussion) and Erik Smith (mallets).
From Fort Fairfield High School is Jacob McCorison (alto sax).
From Ashland High School are Gabbie Wortman (flute), Laura Sturgeon (flute), Olivia Tardie (flute), Amber Chasse (clarinet), Daniel Rafford (alto sax), Jesse Wortman (alto sax), Brandon Dorr (tenor sax), Cassidy Pelletier (baritone sax), Briana Harris (baritone sax), Tiffany Libby (trumpet), Ben Philbrook (trumpet), Megan Stanton (trumpet), Caitlin Paradis (baritone horn), Lucas Craig (baritone horn), Mackenzie Carter (baritone horn), Ariana Stadig (tuba) and Cassandra Bolstridge (tuba).
From Easton High School is Katelyn White (flute), Isabelle Morin (flute), Cecelia Ferris (flute), Paige Flewelling (clarinet) and Brandon Hosford (electric bass).
The Saturday event begins at 2 p.m. with the All-Aroostook Middle School performance.
