Here are some long overdue notes; many of you know I have been on the “sick list,” so there is a reason for the delay. All those of you who have been on the same list, I wish you good health, joy and love in the new year 2016.
Things are quiet on the home front. We are looking for a freezing rain at this time. Had a nice call from a lady in New York, who writes a letter to the editor frequently. She was inquiring about a quilter but I was of no help. Sorry.
My Bible quote is: “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
To quote Senior Source by U.S. Senator Susan Collins, Americans are expected to spend more than $328 billion in prescription drugs this year alone. Of this amount, individuals will pay about $50 billion out of pocket.
Not much snow as compared to last year. It isn’t over yet!
Many will remember The Dinosaur Man, as he spent much time downtown. Our condolences to his family.
Our angel quote: “An angel is love manifested in glorious physical form. An angel is grace expressed in perfect ethereal beauty. An angel is faith embodied in buoyant spiritual light.”
Attending the Christmas party given by the staff were: Shirley Nason, Alfred McCluskey, Dennis and Margie Casey, Patrick Friel, Kathy Ledger, Robin Chambers, Lois Downing, Mildred Parmigian, Paul Armstrong, Thomas Vasko, Thomas Suitter, Mike Tidd, Lavina Byron, Leane Drew, Brenda Belyea, Joyce Bryant, Tona Ryan, Sadie Carmichael, Dale DeVoe, Diane Richard, Harriet Garrett and Constance Barry. We had Brian’s seafood chowder with crackers and cake and a good time was had, ending with a Yankee swap.
Have a wonderful week filled with love and joy.
