HODGDON, Maine — Residents of communities that make up SAD 70 are encouraged to attend a public hearing Wednesday (today), at 6 p.m. at Mill Pond School to discuss a proposal that would move the seventh- and eighth-graders to Hodgdon High School.
SAD 70 (which includes the communities of Hodgdon, Ludlow, New Limerick, Linneus, Amity, Haynesville and Cary Plantation) has been exploring the notion of relocating its seventh- and eighth-grade classes to Hodgdon High School for almost a year. The move was first suggested by Superintendent Scott Richardson in March, 2015 as a way for the district to be more efficient with the use of its teaching staff.
The board is expected to make its decision on the move at its Feb. 8, 2016 meeting.
