HARTT, Joyce, 82, PRESQUE ISLE, January 17, 2016. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 21, at the Bethany Baptist Church. Arrangements are in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Joyce Hartt, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 17, 2016, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born April 29, 1933, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Orin and Isabelle (Trecarin) Lannigan.
She worked as a certified nurse’s aide at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill for 14 years. She also worked for a number of years as a nanny. Joyce was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons: Paul Phillips and his wife, Cathy of Shrewsbury, Mass., Bryan Phillips of Needham, Mass., and Alton Hartt and his wife, Marcia of Gray; two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Richard Roussel of Calais, and Peggy and Steven Arthur of Westfield; a brother, Philip Lannigan of Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
She was predeceased by her parents; her longtime companion, Arthur “Buzzy” Beaulieu; her son-in-law, Gregory Hale; a brother, Murry Lannigan; and a sister, Dot Plissey.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. James Ackerson officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service at the church. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Spring interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
