CARIBOU —- Mary Lou Gagnon, 72 passed away January 11, 2016 at her Caribou residence. She was born in Winterville April 3, 1943, the daughter of the late Ludgin Pete and Marie (Goslin) Gagnon.
Mrs. Gagnon was a 1964 graduate of Caribou High School and she married Harold Gagnon July 3, 1964. She was a longtime faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Lou loved to knit and sew. She made beautiful quilts and many family and friends were the recipients of her handiwork. Mary Lou always had time for others and was a volunteer at the Caribou Ecumenical food pantry. Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 2008, a sister, Dorilda, three nephews and a great-great niece. She is survived by her sister, Marie Wasson of Fort Fairfield, two aunts, Hilda Nicknair and Leona Eldridge; many nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends including Barb Smith, Joyce Thompson, The Smith Family and her neighbor, Birdine Wedberg.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Kyle Doustou officiating.
