Students create soaps as fundraiser

 WASHBURN NEWS

    The Washburn District High School life skills students have begun making melt-and-pour soaps as a fundraiser.

    The proceeds earned from the soap sales will be used to support the Life Skills Program (field trips, cooking and classroom materials).
    There are currently 14 scented soaps to choose from. The soap comes in 2-ounce bars for $1 or 4-ounce bars for $2. Contact WDHS if you have any questions at 455-4501.

Open on weekends

    The Washburn Trailrunners Clubhouse is now open weekends throughout the snowmobile season for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and for lunch on Saturdays.
    They will be serving from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday and from 7 a.m.-12 noon on Sunday.

    Those celebrating a birthday between Jan. 20 and 26, 2016 include: Troy Plante, Ashley Doody, Brenda McCoy, Isaac Easler, Keith Corey, Joyce Pinette, Kevin Goodine, Todd Doody, Charlene Maynard and Glenna Bragg.

    Those celebrating an anniversary between Jan. 20 and 26, 2016 include Glenn and Debra Viola.
