LINNEUS — Linda Lee (Stewart) Scott, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2016 in the comfort of her home.
She was born April 23, 1947 in Houlton, the daughter of Wendell & Elizabeth (Maker) Stewart. She was a loving and faithful wife of 50 years to Donald D. Scott, who proceeded her in death on June 5th of 2011. Linda worked as a CNA for many years; first at Crestview Manor and then Madigan Estates. She worked many hours, all while raising her six children, one girl and five boys. She was a very young mother and had all of them by the time she was 23. To say she had her hands full would be an understatement. Anyone who knew Linda saw or experienced her heart of gold. She looked after her own family and anyone that needed help or just a place to stay. She was called “Mom” and “Gram” by more than just her children and grandchildren. The lives she touched are too many to name but she loved them all the same.
Linda is survived by five children: one daughter, Pam & Bobby Cates; four sons: Danny & Tammey Scott, Gary Scott, David Scott, Jon Scott and daughter-in-law, Doris Scott, all of Linneus; thirteen grandchildren: Chris, Matt, Jesse, Amanda, Fay, Levi, Elizabeth, Daniel, Donnie, Sabra, Amelia, Justus and Joseph; eleven great-grandchildren: Craig, Jesse, Jordis, Emma, Dustin, Tripp, Elena, Meghan, Ace, Jace and Able; sister, Aleta & Larry Shea; brothers: Eugene & Carla Stewart and Dana & Debbie Stewart; also her two aunts: Shirley & Merwin Crandall and Arlene & Gary Fletcher. She is predeceased by her parents; her son, Donald Scott; grandson, Dustin Scott; daughter-in-law, Donna Scott and one brother, Tony Stewart.
