CARIBOU – Doris D. Albert, 84, died peacefully on January 30, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in St. David, ME, September 29, 1931, the daughter of Pauland Emelda (St. Amant) Dufour.

Doris was a devoted and loving wife to her late hus- band, Joseph R. Albert and seven children. Doris was a dedicated homemaker for many years, lovingly raising her children. She later was employed by the Caribou Nursing Home for 14 years in Housekeeping before retiring.
Doris was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the local councils of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Daughters of Isabella and Ladies of St. Anne.
Doris is survived by six chil- dren and their spouses: Kenneth and his wife, Earlene (Doucette) Albert of Etna, ME, Patricia and her husband, Gary Canning of Sunapee, NH, Roland Albert of Presque Isle, ME, Carol and her hus- band, Paul Lamson, of Gouverneur, NY, Jeanine and her husband, Guildo Morneault of Caribou, ME, and Alan and his wife, Amy (Roman) Albert, of Walpole, MA. She is survived as well by Janice Jackson whom she considered her daughter. Doris loved and adored her grandchildren: Roiya (Albert) Doyle and husband, Sean, Renee (Canning) Kelly and husband, Jake, Amanda Canning, Brian Canning, Mark Lamson and wife, Hannah, Kimberly Lamson and fiancé, Tyler Masick, Daniel Morneault and wife, Lauren, Katherine Morneault, Ashley Albert; and Joshua Kinter. Doris was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Evan and June Kelly, Mackenzie Masick, Ellie Lamson, Liam Morneault, and Fiona Doyle. She is survived by siblings: Joel Dufour and wife, Theresa, Gilman Dufour and wife, Yvonne, Angela Thibeault and spouse, Melvin, Fernald Dufour, Bernadette Aube and spouse, George, Joyce Martin, and Wallen Dufour and his wife, Ginette.
She was predeceased by her youngest son, Michael; her parents; brothers, Bertrand, Ronald and Willard, special brother-in-law, Frank Martin; and sister, Antoinette.
Family and friends called from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Caribou. Interment Services will be held at a later date at the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
