HAMILTON, Maureen Morse, 73, PRESQUE ISLE, January 16, 2016. There will be a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m., at Presque Isle Congregational Church.
PRESQUE ISLE – Maureen Morse Hamilton, 73, passed peacefully from her earthly body into the loving arms of God on January 16, 2016. She was born on August 5, 1942, to the late Thomas S. and Emeline A. (Hamilton) Morse.
She grew up in Glastonbury, CT, and graduated from Glastonbury High School. She raised her family in New Hartford and Barkhamsted, CT, had a long career at Connecticut National Bank and Shawmut Bank. Maureen achieved her dream to retire in Presque Isle, and enjoyed summers in Islesford, ME. She had a wonderful life filled with her love for family and friends, horses, art, music, dancing, peace, and a lifelong love of learning.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Chris and Karen O’Neil of Granby, CT, Craig O’Neil of Bristol, CT, and Carine O’Neil of San Mateo, CA. She also leaves grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Katharine, Siobhan, Michael, Sean, Simon and Samuel O’Neil; her siblings, Peter and his wife, Diana Morse of East Hampton, CT, Terry and her husband, Hank Connor of Nashville, TN, Anne Morse of San Francisco, CA, and Tim and his wife, Susan Morse of Chester, CT; along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service celebrating Maureen’s life on Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m., at Presque Isle Congregational Church, 27 Church St., Presque Isle, ME.
The family would like to thank Peggy Woodman for her years of friendship and support, the Walton family for everything they have done over the years, and Mark Woodman for all his help during this difficult time.
