HOULTON, Maine — The 32nd annual 5K Wild Katahdin Trust Snow Run/2 Mile Walk will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 as part of the Moosestompers Weekend.
Registration will be held from 9:30-10:35 a.m. in the Millar Civic Center’s function room on the second floor. The cost is $12, with the first 50 to sign-up getting a T-shirt.
The two-mile walk begins at 10:45 a.m., followed by the run at 11 a.m. The event is the First run in the Aroostook Musterds County Challenge Series.
The course starts and ends at the Millar Civic Center’s front entrance. An adult guardian must accompany children under 10 years of age.
Categories for 5K Run: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over. The awards ceremony will be held at 11:45 a.m. and includes award for first place in each of the age categories for both runners and walkers. The first five walkers to finish will earn a special “Mean Runner” award.
Proceeds benefit the Houlton Area Backpacks For Kids Program. Refreshments available after the Run/Walk.
