ACAP nets funding to promote oral health

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation recently awarded grants totaling more than $28,000 to Maine oral health programs. A local entity was among the recipients.

The Aroostook County Action Program of Presque Isle received $2,500 for its oral health prevention program in six schools.
The grants are one of several ways the foundation supports organizations and initiatives that provide oral health education and dental care to children and others in need in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Other funding recipients were Catholic Charities Maine’s Jessie Albert Dental and Orthodontic Center, Bath; Bright Smiles Clinic, Portland; Community Clinical Services, Inc., Lewiston; Kennebec Valley Dental Coalition, Waterville; Kennebec Valley Family Dentistry, Augusta; Saving Smiles; and Sheepscot Valley RSU #12, Somerville.
