PRESQUE ISLE, Maine —The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host the 10th annual Junior Achievement of Maine Titan Challenge in the Campus Center on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The event is planned from 8:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. In case of inclement weather, Wednesday, Feb. 24, is the snow date.
The Titan Challenge brings area high school students to the local campus to compete against their peers across the state on business finance and marketing simulations. All Maine high schools are invited to participate in this daylong competition, free of charge, which is held at various sites around the state.
Currently, more than 100 teams from Maine high schools are registered. Twenty-three of these teams will compete at UMPI.
Three scholarship prizes are awarded, and last year, Aroostook County teams received all three of the scholarships.
This event is sponsored on campus by the faculty of the business administration department.
