The University of Maine at Machias has announced a local student achieved high grades for the fall 2015 semester.
Susan Sewell of Houlton was named to the dean’s list for her achievements.
Faculty and staff commended her via a letter. In making the dean’s list announcement, Kay Kimball, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, said, “Your superior achievement reflects your high standards and dedication to learning. It makes your education all the more meaningful, and builds the foundation for lifelong success.”
In other dean’s list news, Dakota Mullen, a psychology major from Crystal, has been named to the Fall 2015 dean’s list at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass. Students earning the recognition must achieve a GPA of 3.33 or higher.
And from the University of New England in Biddeford, Abigail Kinens was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
Dean’s List students at UNE have also attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
