HOULTON— Gary W. Boyce, 69, passed away February 3, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born August 22, 1946 in Ashland, the son of Charles and Alberta (Paradis) Boyce.
Gary graduated from Houlton High School and then went onto serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969, achieving the rank of Sargent. Gary worked in Bristol, CT for many years as a carpenter. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post #47.
Gary is survived by his spouse Alicia Tomah, their daughter Marissa Boyce; along with his children Toby W. Boyce and his wife, Kelly, Nicole Lovering and her husband Michael, Mandy Patterson; five grandchildren Brooke, Matthew, Megan, Liam and Koen; his brother Charlie Boyce; his sister Judy Boyce; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his two sisters Joyce (Boyce) Tomah and Joan Boyce, and his brother Jerry Boyce.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Spring interment with Military Honors will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
