The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton investigated the following complaints from Sunday, Jan. 31 to Sunday, Feb. 7.

Jan. 31 — Trooper Endre received a complaint from a male subject saying that his daughter was harassing him. Endre met with the daughter in Presque Isle at her residence to serve her with cease harassment paperwork. After serving her, Endre performed a bail check on the female. The female agreed to a urine test and the test showed positive for methamphetamine and opiates. The female was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

Jan. 31 — Cpl. Quint investigated a rollover crash in Haynesville where the female driver fled the scene. The girl stated she was not aware she needed to report the crash and planned on getting her vehicle towed later that day. Cpl. Quint will be issuing summonses to the operator for leaving the scene and failure to report an accident.

Jan. 31 — Presque Isle P.D. called to request a trooper to check an address in Mapleton for a male subject, who had a temporary warrant for violating conditions of release after a domestic assault charge from Presque Isle police. Trooper Endre found the male at his residence in Mapleton and arrested him and transported him to Presque Isle Police Department.

Feb. 1 — Trooper Endre was northbound on Route 1 in Monticello when he met a vehicle that was south bound passing two tractor trailers. The vehicle was traveling at 101 mph in a 55 mph zone and the female operator was summonsed for criminal speed.

Feb. 2 — While running traffic Cpl. Michaud charged a 38-year-old Monticello man with operating after suspension after a traffic stop in Monticello.

Feb. 2 — Trooper Marquis assisted the Warden Service, Fire Marshal’s Office, and Madawaska Police Department on the suspected arson of an ice shack on Long Lake. The incident remains under investigation.

Feb. 2 — Trooper John Darcy stopped at the Sherman Irving Gas Station while on patrol. He recognized Shawn (Kaelin) Michaud, 30, of Stacyville there and knew there was an active arrest warrant from 2006. Darcy approached Michaud and informed him he was under arrest. Before turning around to put his hands behind his back, Michaud discarded items onto the passenger seat of the vehicle he was standing next to. Darcy located two vials of what later tested positive as methamphetamine. Michaud was placed under arrest and transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. While at the jail, Darcy observed Michaud attempt to conceal a pill in his mouth which the trooper was able to recover. A further search of Michaud turned up four additional prescription pills and a bottle of methadone. Darcy charged Michaud with failure to appear on a warrant, two counts of possession of a schedule W drug (methamphetamine, methadone), one count of possession of a schedule X drug (prescription pills), and felony trafficking in prison contraband.

Feb. 3 — Cpl. Michaud charged a 39-year-old woman with operating after suspension stemming from a traffic stop in Caribou. The woman recently relocated to Maine and her right to operate was suspended.

Feb. 3 — Trooper Casavant investigated a suspicious trespassing complaint in Easton. The caller reported returning home to find her doors open and items disturbed in her home, but nothing was taken. The woman reported her doors were locked when she left and entry was gained without causing damage.

Feb. 3 — Trooper Sylvia was called to Reed Plantation for a violation of a protection order called in by a Domestic Violence Investigator from Bangor attempting to serve a subpoena on a victim. Sylvia arrested the 53-year-old man for violating the order.

Feb. 4 — Trooper Luce issued a criminal summons for operating after suspension to a male after he was stopped for not dimming his headlights. The male pulled into a driveway before Luce could initiate the traffic stop and at first denied driving but then later admitted that he in fact was driving the car. The male told Luce he has to hold the high-beam switch to keep the headlights activated due to them not working properly.

Feb. 4 — Cpl. Quint and Trooper Sucy went to an address in Oakfield to speak with a man that had previously reported his vehicle stolen. Because no troopers were in the area, the man asked that someone come to his house to speak with him. When Cpl. Quint and Trooper Sucy arrived at his residence the man came out of his house with a loaded shotgun. The Troopers ordered the man to lower the gun and he eventually complied. The man told the troopers there are people after him but he does not know who they are. The troopers talked with the man about his stolen vehicle and determined the issue is actually a civil matter between the car owner and the man making the complaint.

Feb. 5 — Trooper Marquis began investigating a criminal mischief case in T17 R4. The victim’s truck had been vandalized. The case remains under investigation.

Feb. 6 — Trooper Darcy charged a 33-year-old female from Wade with operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop on I-95 in Ludlow. After the woman first pulled over she did not put her vehicle in park and the vehicle rolled back into Trooper Darcy’s cruiser. The push bumper saved both vehicles from having any damage.

Feb. 6 — The Houlton Regional Communications Center received a complaint from the Bangor RCC of a car all over the road at Mile Marker 242 northbound on I-95. Houlton RCC advised Trooper Endre of the complaint. Deputy Palmer of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s office witnessed the vehicle and stopped the car for poor operation. Once Endre arrived he administered a test and arrested the operator for operating under the influence.The woman was transported to the Aroostook County Jail. An intoxilyzer test showed .00 percent blood alcohol content. Deputy Saucier of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s office was called as a DRE and determined that the woman was under the influence of CNS depressants, narcotics and cannabis. The female was booked into the ACJ.

Feb. 6 — Troopers Endre and Sucy assisted Maine State Police in Bangor with a shots fired complaint in Prentiss Township. A man reported to have had his vehicle shot at by his neighbor over a property dispute. The victim reported to have had a passenger in the vehicle with him at the time of the shots and suffered two flat tires from the altercation. The man was later located by a Penobscot County Deputy at the Springfield General Store.

Feb. 7 — Tr. Adam Stoutamyer stopped a vehicle for a defective tail light and found male operator was under suspension for a previous operating under the influence charge. The male was charged with operating after suspension.
