WEST CHAZY , NY — Harry A. Sherman, 85, of Fiske Road, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Lisbon, NH on September 17, 1930 the son of Harry J. and Mary Mae (McDonald) Sherman. Harry served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1973.
He married Phyllis Paradie in Woodsville, NH on April 21, 1956. Harry retired from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in 2003 after 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Sherman of West Chazy; three sons, Harry Sherman of Hinesburg, VT, William and Lori Sherman of St. Albans, VT, and Kenneth and Rattanaporn Sherman of Tewksbury, MA; two sisters, Charlotte Mitchell of Woodsville, NH and Nancy and Jerrold King of Lyman, NH; six grandchildren, Melissa McCormick, William Sherman, Sarah Sherman, Evan Sherman, Garnteerar Sherman and Nicharwii Sherman; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Sherman.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 101 Union St., Littleton, NH. Burial will be at a later date in Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon, NH.
