Mrs. Irving’s and Mrs. Worcester’s sixth-graders at Washburn District Elementary School are proud to announce that they have received passports from Maine WinterKids. WinterKids is an organization from Portland that helps children develop healthy lifelong habits through education and fun, outdoor winter activity. From downhill and cross country skiing to ice skating and snow tubing, the passport offers something for everyone.
The WinterKids Passport will encourage kids to get outside and be active more often this winter. It offers free and discounted tickets, lessons, and rentals at 50 areas all over Maine. Families can also take advantage of discounted lift tickets for the whole family during WinterKids Family Days at mountains across Maine.
Thanks go to the classroom teachers and the After School Program for making this possible for students of Washburn District Elementary School.
