Valley native accepts position at Acadia FCU
FORT KENT — Acadia Federal Credit Union officials recently announced that Lance Morin has accepted the new position of commercial relationship representative. His duties began on Jan. 25 and he is currently working out of the Fort Kent branch.
Lance Morin is responsible for the development of existing and creation of new commercial relationships. He will be working closely with the rest of the commercial lending department and will be traveling throughout the general northern Aroostook area. This new position for the growing Acadia Federal Credit Union is in response to the increasing demand for commercial services and to better serve the wide variety of businesses in the area.
“I am very excited to be part of the Acadia family, and I’m eager to be connecting with members out in the field,” said Morin. “I’m thankful to have this opportunity to regain a big role in the Valley – my heart and soul pours into this area.” Morin graduated from high school in Fort Kent and attended UMFK from 2001-2005 for business management. He spent the last 4½ years in Portland, where he worked as a supervisor for the Time Warner Cable New England headquarters.
“We are thrilled to be able to attract the category of individual like Lance,” added Luis Sanclemente, Vice President of Acadia FCU. “His skill set and appetite for growth is exactly what we were looking for. Our members will be very happy to have him working for them.”
A native of Fort Kent, Morin and his wife, Kristina (Lagasse) of St. David, were married in 2014. They have returned to the Morin family homestead as proud third-generation owners and residents. In his free time, Morin enjoys skiing, hockey, time with family and friends and working around the house.
Besides its Fort Kent office, Acadia has four other branch locations in Madawaska, St. Agatha, St. Francis and Ashland.
