To the editor:
I would simply like to know why your newspaper is unable to publish the architectural plans for either the City Office or the New School in a size large enough for anyone to see the details. In both cases, as those plans were published, they occupied very little more space than a book of postage stamps would require. Consequently, it was impossible, even for a reader with perfect eyesight, to discern the names of streets, much less the proposed uses of the spaces to be occupied by all our municipal chiefs, mayors, directors, superintendents, managers, supervisors, and their assistants.
I would like to request that those building and remodeling plans be re-published soon in much larger size, say at least 1/4 of a page each, so the citizenry might get some detailed idea of what our tax money is being spent for. It would be refreshing to get some relief from the usual practice of simply going ahead with some grandiose project “for the good of the public” while keeping us in the dark.
