ORONO, Maine — Carlisle swimmers finished up the season at the Class A state championships held at the University of Maine Feb. 13 and 15.
Maddie Wing and Austin Scott each turned in top-10 performances, with Wing taking ninth in the 200 freestyle in 2:10.15 and Scott also ninth in the 100 fly in 58.09 seconds.
Wing was also 13th in the 100 fly (1:07.65), while Scott took 20th in the 100 back (1:07.26).
Nate Gere came in 14th in the 500 free (5:47.5) and 15th in the 100 fly (1:01.53), while Leigh Buck was 17th in the 100 free (54.65) and 18th in the 50 free (24.24).
Alexis Coiley, swimming for Fort Fairfield, placed 12th in both the 200 free (2:12.33) and the 500 free (6:01.25).
The best placement by a relay team came in the 400 free, which took 19th. Abby Espling, Kyra Thibeault, Abby Raymond and Wing recorded a time of 4:37.05.
