Pangburn joins NMCC Foundation board
PRESQUE ISLE — Northern Maine Community College welcomes Jeff Pangburn of Presque Isle to its Foundation Board.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise and distribute funds to help NMCC meet its commitment to provide superior educational opportunities. Much of the funding is in the form of scholarships; the foundation also supports programming equipment needs and the expansion of college facilities.
Pangburn is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in geography; he also earned his master’s degree in business at Husson College. He is employed as vice president relationship manager at TD Bank, where he is responsible for business development, commercial lending and loan administration in the northern Maine market.
Prior to his current position, Pangburn served as vice president commercial services officer at Katahdin Trust Company and worked as an economic development specialist and engineering systems analyst at Maine Public Service Company.
“We’re very happy to have Jeff on our board. He brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the group,” said Gregg Collins, NMCC Foundation chair. “Jeff’s background in business and connections to the area will be valuable to our success.”
“I’m excited to be joining this dynamic group of people who care deeply about making an excellent education affordable,” said Pangburn. “NMCC’s role in educating a well-trained workforce for our region is vital to our economic strength.”
Last year the foundation awarded $60,000 in scholarships to NMCC students.
Pangburn is a member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club, is on the Potato Marketing Improvement Fund/Credit Review Committee and was appointed to the Presque Isle Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He has served on the Northern Maine Fair Association, the Local Workforce Investment Board, the City of Presque Isle Board of Assessment Review and the Presque Isle Congregational Church Board of Trustees.
Pangburn is active in the Mapleton Cub Scouts Pack 170, where he serves as Cubmaster and Webelos Den Leader.
