Patience Katherine Fae Nightingale
NIGHTINGALE, Patience Katherine Fae, 13, PRESQUE ISLE, February 24, 2016.
PRESQUE ISLE – Patience Katherine Fae Nightingale was born June 21, 2002, in Perth Andover, Canada. She was the eldest child born to Christina Fae Paul and Bobby Lee Nightingale. Patience, or Paysh, waged a courageous battle against a rare form of spinal cancer and won the hearts of many along the way, but lost the war on Wed., February 24, 2016.
Predeceased by her beloved mother in Nov. 2015, Paysh, even with terminal illness, would watch over her family and she lovingly referred to as “FamBam”, never faltering always loving and supportive of her step-dad, Michael Michaud; grampy, Tom Michaud; her younger sister, Serenity, and babies, Clover and Meadow. Patience’s maternal grandparents are Pat and Abby Paul of Tobique First Nation, Canada; auntie, Summer Rain; her other special aunt, Kolin Echo and her husband, Brian O’Conner of Presque Isle, and their child, Maleeya Faye were also very special to Patience.
Predeceased by her paternal grandparent, Shirley G. Velasquez, who formerly was of Presque Isle.
Survived by great- aunt and uncle, Willis J. and Bonnie Tompkins of Madison, Wisconsin, and their son, Jud, and daughter, Jodie; uncle, Jerry W. and Dawn Haralson of North Smithfield, RI, and Jamie D. Haralson and partner, Cody J. Sanders of Boston, Mass.; special aunt, Barbara Murphy Garcia; cousins, Lance and Lucas Garcia, and special friends, Patti Crooks and Jamie Guerrette.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at EMMC, TAMC and Central Aroostook Health Care facility in Mars Hill, to all Hospice care and volunteers and everyone who gave so generously of their talents and hearts to make Paysh feel loved and comfortable.
