BANGOR, Maine — A number of local schoolboy and schoolgirl basketball players earned “All-Tourney” accolades from the Bangor Daily News during the Maine Principal’s Association tournament. The following is a list of local athletes honored.
In Class B North, Presque Isle’s Emily Wheaton was named to the girls’ All-Tourney team and Caribou’s Donovan Savage was part of the boys’ All-Tourney team.
In Class C North, Chelsey Pelkey of Fort Fairfield was named to the girls’ All-Tourney team, while Tiger teammate Taylor Churchill earned an honorable mention.
In Class D North, Jordan Doody of the Easton Bears was the recipient of the William C. Warner MVP Award and was named to the boys’ All-Tourney team along with teammates Logan Halvorson and Jake Flewelling, while Easton’s Drew Sotomayor and Washburn’s Jarrett Olson received honorable mention. For the girls, Karli Levesque of Central Aroostook and Emmy Churchill of Washburn were selected to the All-Tourney team, while Central Aroostook’s Molly Anthony and Ashlee Harris each received honorable mention.
