ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The men’s and women’s leagues at Birch Point Bowling continue to strike things up this winter.
In the men’s league, the standings as of Monday were: 1, Strike Force, 100-28; 2, Intimidators, 84-44; 3, Gutterballs, 78-50; 4, Rough Riders, 64-64;and 5, Sandbaggers, 58-70.
The weekly high single went to Keith Hersey, 118; and the high series went to Joe Bishop, 326. The team single and series both went to Strike Force at 599 (single) and 1,607 (series).
The top five averages are: Joe Bishop, 106.6; Everett Boutilier, 104.0; Jerry Violette, 103.0; Bob King, 101.2; and Mike Detour, 100.9.
In women’s league play, the standings are: 1, Twisted Sisters, 86-50; 2, Incredibowls, 76-60; 3, Golden Girls, 66-70; 4, Candlepin Mamas, 62-74; 5, Ball Busters, 59-77; and 6, WWB, 51-85.
The weekly high single and series both went to Sherry Porter, 116 (single) and 314 (series). The year to date high single is a tie between Donna Crandall and Joanie Sides, both 126. The year to date high series belongs to Dede Edkins, 332.
The top six averages are: Chris Lash, 98.6; Dede Edkins, 98.2; Donna Crandall, 96.5; Sherry Porter, 93.8; Janelle Grant, 90.4; and Beth Edkins, 89.9.
