Jeremiah Goff, son of Aimee and David Goff of Smyrna, has qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee.
Jeremiah is a seventh grade student at Mill Pond School in Hodgdon. The Maine State Bee will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the University of Maine in Farmington. Opening ceremony will start at noon in Lincoln Auditorium followed by preliminaries at 12:30 in the Roberts Learning Center/Lincoln. Final competition is scheduled for 2:45 in the Lincoln Auditorium. One champion from each state and territory will advance to the national competition, which will be held May 22-25 at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C.
