She was also awarded “Most Photogenic” as well as the “Super Model” award. The pageant is a preliminary to the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant, which will be held in Saco on Aug. 19-20.
Winners of that pageant will go on to compete for titles in the USA National Miss system with opportunities to receive scholarship money for college. The competitors raised over $2,000.00 in donated money and items for the Ronald McDonald House.
Reed, along with the other pageant winners, will represent the Crown C.A.R.E.S, Creating A Respectful Environment in Schools and in our Society. It is a program designed to promote awareness of bullying in schools and to cultivate a safe environment while helping teach skills to develop social responsibility in school-age children, youth and teens.
