HOULTON — The Houlton Police Department responded to the following incidents from Feb. 28-March 5.

 

Sunday, Feb. 28

8:04 a.m. — Off. Quint responded to Broadway to investigate a disturbance.

10:01 a.m. — Capt. Pelletier responded to Industrial Drive to investigate a burglar alarm.

6:59 p.m. — Off. Janakis responded to Columbia Street to investigate a complaint.

8:18 p.m. — Off. Janakis responded to Pleasant Street for a medical emergency.

9:10 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to Hartford Street to assist another agency.

11:40 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to Four Season Circle to investigate suspicious activity.

 

Monday, Feb. 29

4:39 p.m. — Off. Bickford responded to Riverfront Park to summons a 19-year-old Houlton male for operating while license suspended or revoked and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

HPD Corner

The HPD wishes to remind the citizens of Houlton and those who park in Houlton that the all-night Parking ban will remain in effect until March 31 for all streets in Houlton.

The general ordinance of the Town of Houlton reads, “No person shall park a vehicle on any street in Houlton during the period beginning Nov. 1 and ending March 31.”

The Houlton Police Department will be strongly enforcing the parking ban between the hours of 1-6 a.m. during the early morning hours.

The ordinance is in effect to allow the town’s Public Works to remove the snow. Those vehicles that hinder the snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense.

The Houlton Police Department urges all citizen to comply with the ordinance and we appreciate your cooperation.
