The first phase that is taken is to assess a site is order to provide data and recommendations. A site inspection is done, nearby properties are reviewed, records are checked for any known issues and current and past owners are interviewed. A report is then done with data and conclusions. It will offer recommendations that need to be addressed, recognizing environmental conditions.
The next phase is to collect site materials, organize and provide staff support for the program and steering committee. Site selection, evaluation, assessments and community outreach are undertaken.
