Contributed photo When Leap Day, Feb. 29, rolls around every four years it is a special day, and at Cary Medical Center, new parents Chris and Lacey Fox of Fort Fairfield, left, and Dayna and Jake Geary of Fort Kent, right, celebrated in an extra special way with the birth of their sons. Karter Nicholas Fox was born at 4:03 p.m. Feb. 29, weighing 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 19 inches long. He joins his 10-year old brother, Cole, and 7-year old sister, Keira. Karl Jacob Geary was born a few hours later at 6:47 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 14.6 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long. Karl is Dayna and Jake’s first child. The newborns were delivered by Pines Health Services providers Dr. Mark Townsend, obstetrician/gynecologist, and Bonnie Bouchard, certified nurse midwife. |
