HODGDON, Maine β During Spirit Week at Mill Pond School, a week-long fundraiser was held to benefit Tyler Cox, a Hodgdon High School student injured in a snow sled accident.
Six willing teachers allowed their pictures to be attached to money collection bottles for the week to see who would be the lucky recipient of a pie in the face at a school-wide assembly. An anonymous donor paid extra to make sure there was a three-way tie!
The donor also put a challenge out to Principal Lorene Wiley that they would give an extra $25 if she would be willing to take a pie in the face.
The three-way tie went to Bronson Stinnett, Tom Vicaire (vice principal), and Kate Good. Wiley
graciously accepted her pie from her daughter, Mariah, commenting that, βItβs all about doing something good for Tyler!β
Alyssa Estabrook was the lucky student chosen at random to throw a pie at our Student Council president Sabra Scott. Thanks to the generous donor, students, and staff, a total of $250 was raised.
