DRUMMOND, Richard B., 83, PRESQUE ISLE, March 11, 2016. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
PRESQUE ISLE – Richard B. Drummond, 83, passed away Friday evening, March 11, 2016, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. He was born in Grand Forks, ND, on Feb. 27, 1933, the son of Walter S. Drummond and Ella (Thorson) Drummond.
He moved with his family to Richey, MT, and graduated from Richey High School.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years as a Master Sargeant.
Richard then worked as a salesman at Sears Roebuck Co.
He was a 3rd and 4th member of the Knights of Columbus in Presque Isle, lifetime member of the VFW Post, American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans, member of the Aroostook #197 Masonic Lodge in Mars Hill, life member of the Scottish Rites and a member of the Presque Isle Elks Lodge #1954.
He is survived by a son, Richard B. Drummond and his wife, Lisa of Windham; two daughters, Jean A. Schildhauer and her husband, Joseph of The Woodlands, TX, and Susan L. Cantara and her husband, Christopher of Biddeford; three step-sons, Mark Lavway and his wife, Rose Mary of Westfield, Jeff Lavway of Mapleton, and Bruce Lavway and his wife, Danielle of Sinclair; a brother, Jack Drummond of New York, NY; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Maxine Lavway Drummond in 2015; a daughter, Tamara Jo Sloan; and an infant daughter, Debra.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Friends may call at 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
