PANAMA CITY, FL. and WASHBURN — Phyllis Hobbs Madore, 81 passed away March 27, 2016 at Panama City, FL, following a long illness. She was born in Washburn, April 17, 1934, the daughter of the late Earl and Goldie (Willey) Campbell. Phyllis was employed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services in Caribou for many years and also was a personal care attendant for numerous elderly residents of Presque Isle and Caribou. She was a longtime member of the Dunntown Advent Christian Church. Phyllis loved to knit and crochet and for many years she taught knitting and crocheting classes at Caribou Adult Ed.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Gerald and Aurelie Hobbs and Dale and Jeanne Hobbs Jr. all of Panama City, FL; 11 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dale Hobbs Sr., her second husband, Mack Madore and a son, Charles Hobbs.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 8 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. George McLaughlin, officiating.
