PRESQUE ISLE – Guy W. Weaver Sr., 91, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. He was born March 30, 1925, in Presque Isle, the son of William E. and Maria (Bragdon) Weaver Sr.
Guy worked at the Presque Isle Fire Dept. from 1956-1982, retiring as Deputy Chief. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed spending time in The Deboullie lakes area.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bertha (Day) Weaver of Presque Isle; three sons, Guy Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Westfield, Eugene and his wife, Lorraine of Mapleton, and Patrick and his life partner, Barb Rafford of Ashland; two sisters, Lucy Stevens of Ashland, and Lois Burtt of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandsons, Nick Weaver a native of Presque Isle currently residing in the Rangeley Lake Region, Travis Weaver of Presque Isle, and Jason Weaver and his wife, Heather of Caribou; one great-grandchild, Rachael Marie Weaver of Rangeley Lake Region; and a step-great-grandchild, Chelsey of Caribou. He was predeceased by six siblings.
