LIMESTONE, Maine — The Loring Job Corps Center recently announced Jeff Gireaudore as the Star Student of the Quarter.
Gireaudore came from New York City in October, and since his arrival has proven he is goal-oriented with a desire to better himself and everyone around him. Center officials said as a leader and mentor, he can be counted on to get the job done with a positive attitude.
Gireaudore is enrolled in the electrical trade and a member of the Loring Military Prep Program. He has volunteered in community service and veterans’ events, ranging from being a smoke alarm installer with the American Red Cross home fire prevention campaign to presenting the nation’s colors at the opening of the Maine State Senate.
Once he completes his studies at Loring, he plans to join the Armed Forces.
Gireaudore thanked everyone for his selection as the student of the quarter and expressed that if he can do it, so can everyone else. “So stop doubting yourself and go out and accomplish something,” he said.
