Small Town Social Life

Although the social life of a small town is often pleasant and quaint, it can be extremely troublesome.

Small town people tend to get little excitement within their communities. With this being said, microscopic portions of stimuli can enrapture the whole town in a matter of hours. Most of these stimulus are often speculation and misinterpretation.

Gossip runs rampant and no one is safe from its crosshairs. A person’s business becomes everyone’s business, and each time a story is reiterated, it is exaggerated even more.

No action is left unobserved, and no event left unscrutinized. Essentially living under a high power microscope, small time life can be exhausting. There is a warm, comforting closeness about it; however, and this feeling of belonging to a family like community makes the scrutiny worth all of it.
