The Horrible Day for Snowsledding

It was 7:15 am…I got up and took a shower. The warm water made me more awake. When I got out of the shower and I got dressed, I went down the stairs, but when you go downstairs at my Nana’s house you’re going to regret it because Nana and Papa aren’t usually up at that time to make a fire.

A few minutes later everyone was up. Papa said, “Do you want to come plow the roads with me this morning?”

I said, “Yes!” Papa and I were almost ready to plow the roads so that everyone could have safe trips on the road.

Meanwhile, I was eating breakfast when Uncle Jon came over. He asked, “Do you want to go snowsledding with me and Alli?” I wanted to go plowing with Papa but I wanted to go snowsledding more. I decided to go snowsledding and save plowing the roads for tomorrow. Then, I got on Nana’s sled with Alli.

We went out back of Nana’s and Papa’s house because we usually make trails over through the trees.

Everyone was outside at the time I fell off the sled. Alli was going a little slow but there was a big patch of ice and all I felt was a big jerk. When I opened my eyes, all I saw was white.

I got up in one minute. I stood up and waved my hands in the air as a signal that I was ok.

I learned that I should be more aware of big ice patches. I will always remember that time because whenever I go out snowsledding, I will watch out for ice patchers and think safety first.
