The Sun

The sun is a G-type main sequence star, resting in the center of the universe, 92,960,000 miles away from Earth. The star is typically referred to as the Yellow Dwarf of the solar system. The sun is by far the most important energy life source to our planet.

People in prehistoric times thought of the sun to have great power and strength. They worshipped the sun to the point where they began to be referred to as Solar Deities.

The sun is an important essential to our way of life. It doesn’t just protect our world; it provides beauty to it as well. The sun’s rays produce alluring colors of joy and sadness, painting them across the canvas of the clouds.

The sun quite literally is holding our solar system together. Anything held in the gravitational orbit of the sun moves fast enough to be in constant free fall towards the sun. Without the sun holding them in orbit, all planets, comets and asteroids would fly away from each other into the black, eerie voids of space.

Without the warmth of the sun, it’d be an eternal winter on Earth. Without the sun’s light, the moon and other planets would subsequently all disappear, ultimately, throwing our world into utter darkness. The sun deserves appreciation and respect.
