CARIBOU — Everett W. Cary Jr., 91, passed away April 4, 2016 at Caribou. He was born in Washburn, January 13, 1925,  the son of the late Everett and Flora (Kennard) Cary Sr. He was a graduate of Washburn High School and he married Gladys Gahagan. Mr.  Cary served with the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion and the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW. Everett was employed as a salesman for Anderson Beverage for many years. 

He is survived by his son, Paul Cary of Holden, his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Rick Theriault of Connor Twp; one brother and sister-in- law, Dwight and Leila Cary of Washburn; four grandchildren; Eric, Andy and Evan Theriault and Matt Cary and wife, Stacy, six great-grandchildren; Drew, Dorothy and Reid Theriault, Aiden, Maddux and Silas Cary; dear friend Elaine Corey of Washburn, several nieces and nephews and his special friends at  the American Legion. Mr. Cary was predeceased by his wife, Gladys in 1996, a daughter, Jane, and his sister, Ernestine Buckley. 

Graveside services with military honors will be held later in the spring at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou  at a time and date to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff  at Caribou Rehab and Nursing, especially Pam, for the fine care and compassion shown to their Dad during his stay there. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
